From Atlanta: Take I-85 North to I-985 North. In Gainesville, GA I-985 turns into Route 441 North. Stay on 441 to US74/23 East into Waynesville, but be sure to take the 441 bypass around Franklin. Total driving time from the Atlanta airport, which is South of Atlanta, is three hours, baring any traffic delays. If possible, avoid rush hour traffic around Atlanta.

From Florida or points South of Atlanta: Central or West Florida travelers are advised to consider I-75 North to I-675 around the southeast side of Atlanta, making a conscious effort to avoid Atlanta during commuter periods. Travelers from the East cost of Florida are advised to take I-95 North to I-26 West. In Asheville, NC take I-40 West to exit 27 (Route 74/19/23) in a Southwesterly direction.
